Setting administration access for users

clearosOnce you've created some user accounts, you will likely want some of them to have administrative access to some of the ClearOS apps.  This article describes the process.


Groups

Start by creating a user group, with a  name of clearosadmins.

 

Administrator App Policies

  1. Go to System > Accounts > Administrators.
  2. Click the Add button, to create a new App Policy.
  3. Enter a Policy name (e.g. clearosadmins).
  4. Enter a Description for this policy (e.g. ClearIOS administrators for this school.).
  5. Select the Group that you just created.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Select the ClearOS Apps that you would like this group to be able to manage.
  8. Click Update to save your changes.

Now all users who are a member of this group, will have the administrative access to the Apps that you've selected.
