How to create a bootable flash drive
Once you've downloaded a .iso file for your favourite OS, you could burn it to a CD or DVD, and install from there. But what if your computer doesn't have a DVD drive? This article describes how to create a bootable USB stick using Ubuntu.
Startup Disk Creator
Start by installing Startup Disk Creator on your Ubuntu desktop.
- Run Startup Disk Creator
- Browse to the following:
- The .iso file of the OS that you want to boot to.
- The USB memory stick that you want to install it on.
After double-checking that you have the correct startup disk to install to, you can click Make startup disk.
