Syncing with your iPhone

nextcloudIt is very useful to have your calendar and contacts retrivable on your mobile phone. This article shows you how to configure this on an iPhone. You will of course need to have installed the Calendar and Contacts Nextcloud Apps.

Two-Factor Authentication

If you are using 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) you will need to make this initial step.

  1. Log on to Nextcloud.
  2. Click your Avatar > Settings.
  3. Select Security in the left pane.
  4. In the Device & Sessions section, enter an App name (e.g. Steven's iPhone).
  5. Click the Create new app password button.

Make a note of the username and password created. I don't recommend keeping this password. If you forget it, you can simply delete this Device password and create a new one.
